We are pleased to welcome Jennifer who started working with Compass Career Solutions at our Yakima Office in Housing Case Management. She will be overseeing our GOSH (Governor's Opportunity for Supportive Housing) and FCS Housing programs which support individuals with both mental health and substance use disorders find and maintain permanent community housing. 

 

Jennifer has over 13 years of experience working in social services. She is very client driven and advocates for the individuals that she serves. She says, "I don't just work for the company that pays me to do these services. I work for the individual to support them in whatever their needs may be.”  Jennifer's employment background has been primarily in case management and housing services, which makes her a great fit at Compass. 

 

Not only does Jennifer have an extensive background in this field, she is also very passionate about the population she serves. She shared that she herself has a background with a substance use disorder and has been clean and sober for over 19.5 years. This has driven Jennifer to serve individuals going through similar experiences. She knows that people need hope and being able to share her experience and stories with them not only builds a trusting relationship, but also shows them that successes can happen despite barriers. These can be overcome!
